· Most building departments require submittal plans to be certified by a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect, or both.

· Most laws require that this certifying professional be in “responsible charge” of the design work.

· Many states require that the corporate entity also possess a Certificate of Authority from the licensing Board, which in most cases requires that the corporation be registered as a “foreign corporation” when outside its state of incorporation.

· SPCC Plans must be certified by a Professional Engineer.
