Mechanical Designer works on commercial, especially service station mechanical plans and UST, environmental issues. Immersive Design SolidWorks and AutoCAD are a must. Adobe PhotoShop is a plus.  Ideal candidate will have good "people skills" and be able to participate in all phases from preliminary concepts to construction completion.  Excellent appearance and verbal skills required.  Advancement opportunities are possible.

 Typical job functions include:

• Manage drawings in the SolidWorks environment

• Create 3D drawings of Service Station and petroleum handling components

• Prepare UST Installation Plans

• Prepare AST Installation Plans

• Coordinate drawings with other parts of the plan set

• Work with other designers/ professionals collaboratively

• Familiarity with construction practices

• Interpret and prepare submittal forms

• Interact with Owners, interpreting their needs

• Interact with officials in the codes enforcement functions

• Prepare presentation materials, samples, etc.

• Research Codes, materials, customers on internet

• Familiarity with consulting, billing and accounting methods

Location: Avon Lake

Salary: $40K to $47K, potential for paid overtime

Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD R.14 or higher required. Windows XP, Adobe PhotoShop helpful. Willingness to learn, high energy, self motivated absolutely critical.

Probation: Hourly pay, no vacation or benefits first 60 days
